Who is looking after my child?

All our staff are chosen for their caring nature and their genuine enjoyment of working and caring for children. All of our fulltime staff have child care qualifications. We check references carefully and all staff are police checked. The nursery manager is both a mother and grandmother, and has a lifetime of childcare experience. The nursery owner is a mother and qualified teacher with years of teaching experience.

What happens if my child becomes distressed at nursery?

It is normal for children to find change difficult. We suggest that you visit the nursery as many times as you feel that you and your child need to feel settled. If your child becomes distressed once you have left them, we will make every effort to comfort and distract them. This is often enough for a child to join in with the nursery day. However, if your child does not settle, we will contact you and discuss the best action to take.

What do I need to bring to nursery?

While the nursery provides all meals, drinks and snacks for your child, there are a few personal items that you will need to bring with you each day. For babies: we provide cloth nappies for use in nursery. However, please bring one of your own nappies for your child to wear home, as well as wipes. The nursery provides cows milk. Please bring any other milk your child drinks. The nursery is happy to make up your bottles as needed.

Is my child safe at nursery?

The nursery building is very secure. The doors are bolted from the inside and no-one is allowed access unless known to the nursery. Visitors are always accompanied within the nursery. The garden gate is bolted and the perimeter fence is covered by security cameras, as are the grounds of the school. The entire school site (which we are within) is secured by a perimeter fence and gates. Who collects your child is agreed by you with the manager. Photos are requested to ensure identity can be checked.
